Case Details
Project Overview
A municipal infrastructure project aimed to upgrade the lighting on a critical 12km stretch of winding mountainous road. The region is characterized by frequent fog, heavy rainfall, and significant temperature fluctuations. The existing High-Pressure Sodium (HPS) lights provided poor visibility, had high failure rates, and were costly to maintain due to the difficult terrain.

The Solution
We deployed 800 units of our 50W LED Street Lights, boasting an industry-leading efficacy of 220 lm/W (replacing old 150W HPS fixtures). These lights were chosen for their superior corrosion resistance and optimized light distribution, which ensures strong fog penetration and uniform illumination on the winding asphalt.

Key Results
Enhanced Safety: Achieved an average illuminance of 25 lux with high uniformity, significantly improving visibility on sharp curves and reducing night-time accident rates by an estimated 40%.
Energy Efficiency: The upgrade resulted in a 65% reduction in energy consumption, saving the municipality approximately $85,000 annually in electricity costs.
Reduced Maintenance: With a rated lifespan of 50,000 hours and robust IP65 rating, maintenance visits have dropped by 80%, eliminating the logistical nightmare of frequent repairs in remote areas.
